Rounding out a tremendous hat trick of wins in September, SemanticBits has been awarded the Website Data Discoverability & Stakeholder Engagement (WDDSE) contract with the CMS Office of Enterprise Data and Analytics (OEDA). The OEDA aims to drive innovative ways to leverage technological capacities and help push the boundaries in how public health data are used in the transformation of the Medicare. SemanticBits will assess the current ways in which publicly available data is shared both internally within CMS and externally to partners (e.g., providers, Accountable Care Organizations), innovators (e.g., researchers, developers), and the general public. SemanticBits will closely collaborate with OEDA, the CMS Office of Communications (OC), and the end-user community to liberate CMS data and empower users who will further the CMS mission to strengthen and modernize the nation’s healthcare system, thus providing access to high-quality care and improved health at a lower cost.
SemanticBits will begin with robust and thorough user research and examine existing CMS platforms, content, technology stack, and governance principles. Then, with a well-informed strategic approach, we will employ our expertise in CI/CD and Agile methodology to undertake technical development and user-experience design to implement the web-based data management and sharing platform.
We are delighted to be working with CMS on this and other dynamic new projects that will surely make a significant positive impact on Medicare beneficiaries, providers, and the healthcare community.
