April 2017 was an exciting month for SemanticBits.
The month began with the announcement of our win of the Advanced Payment Model Management System (AMS). This win is particularly meaningful, as the primary goals of the Advanced Payment Models (APMs) include achieving better health care, improved population health, and lower cost improvements in care. The vision of the AMS is to provide a centralized way in which to manage the existing and emerging portfolio of APMs.
In support of this work, the SemanticBits team will execute a comprehensive technical solution, performance work statement, notional quality control plan, and product development roadmap. SemanticBits will also continue to rely on the iterative Agile methodology that it is known for, and will utilize a modern technology stack, a DevOps approach, and AWS Cloud in the successful execution of this contract.
This latest win provides SemanticBits with yet another opportunity to grow its business with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), having previously been selected as a prime contract holder of the Agile Delivery to Execute Legislative Endeavors for Quality Related Initiatives (ADELE-QRI) contract. AMS will be one of several contract wins that allows SemanticBits to partner with CMS on agile digital services delivery.
Also in April, SemanticBits reached an important milestone in its work with CMS on the Data Exchange System (DEX), by successfully completing an Alpha release for DEX and demoing it to CMS leadership. DEX will focus on implementing a modern, web-based system that allows states to share Medicaid provider information with the federal government and other states.
