SemanticBits is pleased to announce the win of a new five-year contract called the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Deliverable Invoice and Vouchering Systems (QDIVS). This is a continuation of our work on the Deliverable Administration Review and Repository Tool (DARRT) project, as well as work that was performed on a separate contract called the QIO Financial Information and Vouchering System (FIVS). CMS’s QIO program—one of the largest federal programs dedicated to improving health quality for Medicare beneficiaries—is an integral part of the Health and Human Services National Quality Strategy for providing better care and better health at lower cost. The mission of the QIO program is to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, economy, and quality of services delivered to Medicare beneficiaries. This is accomplished through two core contract functions: quality improvement and case review. These functions include: reducing disparities in access and quality for priority populations, increasing use of health information technology, reducing adverse events related to healthcare-acquired infections, increasing care efficiency by promoting value within the health system, and improving the quality of life for patients nearing the end of life by alleviating pain with palliative care measures.
We are proud to continue to deliver high-quality work for CMS and to develop healthcare IT solutions used by millions of Americans.
