SemanticBits demonstrates HL7 terminology validation using SNOMED-CT

By October 11, 2010No Comments

The promise of better clinical care from the use of electronic health care records relies on creating records with unambiguous meaning to ensure the right clinical care strategies are used and to find related information.

SemanticBits demonstrated today the first steps towards validating the terminology in a HL7 clinical document (electronic health care record) against SNOMED-CT, the world’s most complete controlled medical terminology.

SemanticBits is leveraging semantic technologies, such as OWL, in novel ways to deliver solutions for the life sciences community.
