Several leading members of the SemanticBits team were recently recognized for their outstanding work on launching the trials.cancer.gov website. Denis Krylov, who serves as SemanticBits’s Director of Software Engineering, and Edmond Mulaire, VP of Project Management, were both awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by Dr. Douglas R. Lowy, acting director of the National Cancer Institute for their dedicated work.
Krylov and Mulaire worked as part of a collaborative team tasked with building and launching the trials.cancer.gov website and the NCI Cancer Clinical Trials application programming interface (API). The Clinical Trials API is particularly important, as it allows a large community of patients, oncologists, advocacy groups and others to gain access to clinical trial information through search tools, applications and digital platforms. Vice President Joe Biden announced this API as part of an effort, under the Cancer Moonshot Initiative, to improve clinical trials and make clinical trial information more accessible.
In every project that we undertake, SemanticBits operates as a team, with each member proving integral to our overall success. SemanticBits would like to extend congratulations to Krylov, Mulaire, and the rest of the team who contributed to this important work.
