SemanticBits ended February 2017 on a high note, with the win of a new project: Beneficiary Reporting for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This new development falls under the QPP project umbrella, and is a ground-up replacement of an existing project called the Group Practice Reporting Option. Having previously been selected as a prime contract holder of the Agile Delivery to Execute Legislative Endeavors for Quality Related Initiatives (ADELE-QRI) contract with CMS, SemanticBits is proud to continue to grow its business with CMS through its work on the Beneficiary Sample Reporting.
Currently, the GPRO and its web interface are used so that individuals and groups can submit Quality data to CMS reflecting the quality of care provided to their beneficiaries. This reporting is done through an interactive online tool. The goal in replace the GPRO is to support these individuals and groups in their reporting, as well as to support all practices participating in Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), who will need to report as well.
